ShopwaretoShopify
Your shop keeps selling, customers and rankings move with it.
When you move from Shopware to Shopify, your shop keeps selling as normal until switch-over day. Products, customer accounts and orders move with it, and your Google positions stay. Afterwards your team looks after range and customers instead of servers, updates and plugins.
Why companies leave Shopware
- No lost sales
- The old shop runs until switch-over day. Orders from the last few days follow.
- Customers don't have to start over
- Customer accounts and addresses move with it. Customers only set a new password at their first login.
- Rankings stay
- Every old product and category address leads to the new page. That way you keep your Google positions.
- Less upkeep
- Shopify takes over hosting, security and updates. Your team concentrates on range, promotions and marketing.
- Promotions without a developer
- Your team builds landing pages and collections itself.
What moves
- What moves
- In a Shopware migration to Shopify, everything that carries your business moves. We define exactly what in writing beforehand: products with variants, images and stock levels, categories, customer accounts, order history as agreed, content and the information for Google.
- Kick-off call and inventory
- We clarify goal, timeframe and the particulars of your shop. We record data, addresses, plugins and connections. After that you receive a fixed quote.
- New shop
- We build your Shopify shop, and you approve page by page.
- Trial run
- All data moves once in advance, and your team checks it.
- Switch-over day
- The last orders follow, and the new address goes live.
- Stay on it
- We check orders and positions in the weeks that follow.
What we watch for
- What we check beforehand
- Before the date we check everything that touches your daily work: payment methods such as invoice, PayPal or Klarna, the connection to your inventory system, shipping and B2B prices. What Shopify cannot do out of the box, we solve with an app or a custom connection. That way there are no surprises on switch-over day.
- Shopware 5 is running out
- Shopware 5 has not received security updates since the end of July 2024. Any plugin update can disturb the checkout. A new promotion page needs a developer. Moving to Shopware 6 would be almost a rebuild.
- Every address is planned
- Every old shop URL gets its destination before anything moves. Everything belongs to you: Shopify account, domain and data are in your name.
