A coral-red bridge connects two website windows: visitors find their way from the old site to the new one.

What your team gains, what changes in everyday editing and how to plan a move without losing useful content or URLs.

Start with the reason to move

Webflow can be a good home for a marketing site. A move becomes useful when custom functionality, integrations or ownership of the application matter more than the visual builder. Write down the limitation you need to remove before commissioning a rebuild.

What editors gain and give up

In a typical Next.js setup, a CMS holds copy, images and structured page sections. Editors get preview and consistent components, but they do not automatically get a freeform design canvas. Demonstrate a real editing task early: creating a campaign page, changing a reference or adding a language.

Move the whole website

CMS collections and references need a content model. Animations become components. Forms, search and external tools need explicit replacements. An exported page is useful source material, but it is not a finished migration.

Protect the changeover

Inventory URLs, files and metadata before development. Keep addresses where practical and redirect changed ones to relevant destinations. Review the replacement on a preview URL, then agree the final content sync and monitor search and enquiries after launch.
